Kaoru's
father expects her to take over the Umeki Udon shop after him
but she would rather get into Japanese dancing so she can be
a graceful girl who looks good in a kimono. When her father's
back goes out before an important competition from which he
needs the prize money from to pay back a loan, he looks to Kaoru
to take his place. She
doesn't want to so Shuuji and Yoshimasa suggest merging the
shop with one of theirs by having Kaoru marry one of them. Kaoru,
wanting to marrying Kyounosuke instead, takes on the challenge
of the competition despite having hurt her own back in an accident.
